Lake County Driver's License Reinstatement Attorney

Reinstatement

Assisting Clients in Glenview, Deerfield, Mundelein, and Park City

Losing your driving privileges can dramatically impact our life and your job. Whether your license was suspended or revoked because of a DUI or traffic violations, it is possible to have your license reinstated. At the The Law Offices of Matthew R. Gebhardt, P.C., we are experienced in helping clients through the reinstatement process. Very few people are successful in their first attempt at driver's license reinstatement without the proper representation. Our license reinstatement lawyer accompanies our clients to the Secretary of State hearings and help them present the best possible case to restore their driving privileges.

The Driver's License Reinstatement Process in Illinois

Once your license is suspended or revoked in the State of Illinois, you have to jump through some hoops to get it reinstated. The driver's license reinstatement process requires a formal (or informal for most first offenses) hearing with Secretary of State. Prior to the hearing, you will have to submit certain documentation required by the State. During the hearing, you will likely be asked over 100 questions to establish that you are not a danger to the public. Attorney Matthew R. Gebhardt is experienced in helping clients prepare for these hearings and ensuring that they present themselves in the best possible light while in front of the hearing officer. Our goal is to get you driving again as soon as possible.

Our firm can also assist clients in obtaining restricted driver permit (RDPs) or monitoring device driving permit (MDDPs) (for first offense DUI suspensions). These RDPs allow those with a suspended license to drive to work, school, or for other approved purposes. MDDPs allow those with a first offense DUI conviction to drive after 31 days of suspension if they agree to have a breath alcohol interlock ignition device installed (BAIID) on their car.

If your driver's license has been suspended or revoked and you would like to restore your driving privileges, contact us to schedule a consultation to discuss your situation. From our Buffalo Grove office, our Illinois license reinstatement lawyer serves clients throughout Lake County. From just a small sampling of our files, we are currently representing individuals from Barrington, Deerfield, Highland Park, Glenview, Libertyville, Lincolnshire, Lincolnwood, Mundelein, Park City and Round Lake Beach.
